The Possession, the latest horror offering from producer Sam Raimi (Evil Dead and the upcoming Oz the Great and Powerful) and director Ole Borendal (Nightwatch), opened in theaters this weekend.
The film stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan as a recently single father struggling to balance the demands of his career and raising his daughters in the midst of a divorce. When a mysterious box purchased at a garage sale starts to dramatically affect his youngest girl, Em (Natasha Calis), he must refocus his energies on saving her very soul.
In addition to saying that he loves Screen Rant, Morgan jokingly instructed that we say nice things about him. We discussed his relationship with Calis as well as what inspired him to take on the horror genre (despite some of his reservations). Finally, we touched on whether or not he'd return as The Comedian were there to be a cinematic adaptation of the Before Watchmen prequels.

Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.
