7 Interactive 'Moonrise Kingdom' Character Posters

We've already seen a whimsical first poster for Anderson's latest film, Moonrise Kingdom - now comes seven new interactive character posters.

Each of these posters was exclusively released at a different site. Edward Norton's poster was released over at Yahoo!, Bruce Willis' poster was released at AOL, EW has the Bill Murray poster, Tilda Swinton graces the poster over at Fandango, the poster for newcomer Jared Gilman debuted over at IGN, the poster for Wes Anderson's go-to-actor Jason Schwartzman debuted over at MTV, and Rushmore Academy has the poster for Kara Heyward.

Below are screenshot images for each character poster. Click on the thumbnails to see the fully interactive posters on their respective sites.

Social Services (lead by Tilda Swinton)

Suzy (Kara Heyward)

Sam (Jared Gilman)

Cousin Ben (Jason Schwartzman)

Captain Sharp (Bruce Willis)

The Bishops (Bill Murray and Frances McDormand)
As previously mentioned, these aren't the average posters that you traditionally see gracing bus stops or the halls of your local movie theater. These posters are interactive and are specifically designed to fit each character's personality. Each poster evokes a special kind of beauty that only Anderson can convey.

The posters are flash image based, so if you click the smaller individual images in each of the posters, you'll be treated to more stills of that character. It may not seem very special at first, but the style and tone of the images in each of these posters is fitting of Anderson's previous work (which is not known for being that linear or straightforward). If you're a fan, then you should have some fun looking at all of them.

Here's a premise for Moonrise Kingdom:

Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, MOONRISE KINGDOM tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore ' and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle. Bruce Willis plays the local sheriff. Edward Norton is a Khaki Scout troop leader. Bill Murray and Frances McDormand portray the young girl's parents. The cast also includes Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, and Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward as the boy and girl.

Directed by Wes Anderson, Moonrise Kingdom stars Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, Jared Gilman, and Kara Hayward. Moonrise Kingdom will open on May 25th.
