It's time once again for your daily dose of Dark Knight Rises goodness, brought to you by courtesy of Warner Bros. Today's serving comes in the form of several hi-res screenshots from Christopher Nolan's conclusion to his Batman trilogy (and possibly his final superhero movie ' for a while, at least).
There's one key ingredient absent from our latest TDKR image gallery, and that's the Caped Crusader himself (Christian Bale). Batman, in fact, has appeared onscreen for only a portion of the film footage unveiled in trailer and TV spot format so far ' and a number of fans haven't been hesitant to voice their lack of satisfaction with that aspect of the marketing (assuming it's reflective of the actual movie).
Nolan's approach to telling the tale of Bruce Wayne has steadily evolved over the course of three films ' so much so that Dark Knight Rises seems to resemble an ensemble piece more than a 'Batman movie' (on the surface). Wayne's final destination should affect the fates of the film's supporting characters ' including, Gotham City police officer John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), newly-appointed Wayne Enterprises figure/Bruce's love interest, Miranda Tate (Marion Cotillard), Bruce's go-to gadget aficionado Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), and our hero's loyal caretaker/pseudo-grandfather Alfred Pennyworth (Michael Caine).
That's all to say: the film will ultimately be all about Batman, whether figuratively or literally. So just enjoy these images of Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) covered in a (literal) man suit while she executes a robbery ' and Bane (Tom Hardy) mixing things up in the Gotham financial district ' as we countdown to the final week before Nolan's massive blockbuster epic is unleashed on the viewing public.
